Deacon Willie Gray Arrington, son of the late Annie Arrington Harris and George Strickland, was born in Nash County, North Carolina on January 17, 1932. He departed this May 13, 2020.
Willie accepted Christ at a very young age and was a faithful and dedicated member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church. Willie attended school within the Franklin County Public School System and later gained employment with Franklin Regional Medical Center, where he worked for several years until obtaining full time employment with Westinghouse, Inc. where he worked for over ten years and later retired in 1992.
Willie also worked for Advance Auto Parts after retiring, and he would occasionally work on cars as a hobby. He joined the Level Travelers Lodge Hall, where he would attend weekly meetings as an active member for the community until his health started to decline in 2015. Willie had a passion for helping others. He never met a stranger and he believed in doing the right thing. Willie was loved by everyone he came in contact with, he would help anybody, and he loved his family and friends very much!
Willie met the love of his life, Annie Lewis Johnson of Franklinton, North Carolina whom he married on January 19, 1957 in Vance County, North Carolina.
