John Earl Brinson, son of the late William Jessie Brinson and Mary Annie Pearl Lynch-Brinson, was born on December 7, 1955 in Halifax, North Carolina. He was the third born of seven children. At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Enfield, North Carolina.
John Earl Brinson and Felicia Finch Brinson were joined in holy matrimony on July 13, 2013. The bond they shared was unbreakable. Their union was filled with love and passion that was incomparable. The endless memories left behind will last forever, and their souls will be tied for eternity.
John spent his early days working for the United States Postal Service in the Washington, DC, and Rocky Mount, NC locations. After twenty plus years, he retired from the postal service and purchased his own 18-wheeler to enter the trucking business. John took pride in his big rig. Every chance he got, he would hand-wash it and take pictures in front of it. John also enjoyed cooking on the grill and being surrounded by his family. Hot smoked sausage was his absolute favorite grilled food. Recreational boat fishing was another activity that John loved to take part in. He frequently traveled to the James River with his friends and family, and he never failed to return home with a cooler full of fish. He and his brother Mike would clean the fish the same day and would always call for a family fish fry. Love and laughter will always be the outstanding memories attached to the life of John Earl Brinson.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, William Jesse Brinson and Mary Lynch Brinson, three brothers, Melvin Brinson, Alfonso Brinson, and William Michael Brinson, one son, Lorenzo Brinson and his mother-in-law, Betty Mitchell.
He tragically departed this life and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
