On Friday, April 17, 2020, Delores Perry-Holt was called home. Delores was born on February 11, 1946 at Harlem Hospital in New York City to the late Bettie Lee Perry.
Delores attended John Jay College, where she received a Bachelorette Degree. She retired as a social worker for New York City.
Delores was a very motivated, hard-working woman who loved to help anyone in need. She was definitely a fighter and has more duties to complete in her new home; her job here is complete.
Delores was united in holy matrimony to Ronald A. Holt. Throughout her life, she has always been a great wife, great aunt, great mother, and amazing friend — even with her feisty personality. There is so much to be said about Delores, but the most important thing is that her spirits were always high, even in her last days.
Delores was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Lee Perry, sisters, Bertha Spivey-Taylor and Deverrah Perry. She loved to visit friends and family.
Delores leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Ronald A. Holt of Virginia; her son, Alvin “Corey” Swinney (Shakera) of the home; three grandchildren, Asajian Swinney of High Point, NC, Alajiah A. Swinney of Louisburg, NC, and Cori A. Swinney of Louisburg, NC; one sister, Dorothy Yarborough of Louisburg, NC; one aunt, Sarah of Louisburg, NC; and. A. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
