Willie Davis Evans, son of the late Henry and Myrtle Evans, was born in Nash County, North Carolina on November 29,1961. He departed this life on June 25, 2018.
Willie received his early education in the Nash County Public School System.
Willie was better known as “Sputt”. He enjoyed doing farm work most of his life.
Willie was blessed with two children, Jessica and Quentin.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Prince and Matthew Evans and three sisters, Mattie Evans, Bertha Mae Green and Gladys Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Quentin Antoine Vines, Sr. of Nashville, NC; his daughter, Jessica Young of Louisburg, NC; four grandchildren, Quentin Antoine Vines, Jr., Amorrah Janae Vines, Jamari Smith and Somaiya Fowler; five brothers, Henry Evans (Geraldine), Charles Evans, Jesse Evans and Elijah Evans (Elizabeth) all of Nashville, NC and Richard Evans of Heritage Retirement Center, Rocky Mount, NC; three sisters, Barbara Jean Richardson and Linda Evans both of Nashville, NC and Alene Cooper (Donald) of Converse, TX; a host of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
