Wilbert Williams, Sr., son of Sandy and Dazelle Williams, was born on May 18, 1943. He departed this life on June 27, 2018.
Wilbert was born in North Carolina but moved to New Jersey and lived there most of his life. While there he made a career out of carpentry and mechanical work. Wilbert soon started his own business, in which he was always willing to help others whether it was by providing work for those down on their luck or striking a deal for those who couldn’t afford to pay for all the expensive work needing to be done. He became a very well respected and well loved man by many.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Katie Louise Williams and this union was blessed with four children.
Wilbert was preceded in death by his wife and five siblings, Mattie Williams, Robert Lee Williams, Sherman Williams, Bobby Williams and Isabel Holman.
He is survived by: two daughters, Geraldine Williams of West Palm Beach, FL and Makaylah Williams of Paterson, NJ; three sons, Wilbert Williams, Jr. (Pamela), George Williams (Iris) and Rodney Williams (Lydia) all of New Jersey; eighteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly; his significant other, Tricia; two sisters, Lenora Aldridge of Paterson, NJ and Louise Williams of Bunn, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
