Robert Earl Brown, Sr., the youngest of thirteen children born January 7, 1949 to the late Swails and Corine Brown in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He departed this life July 5, 2018.
He was affectionately known as “Bob” and “Uncle Bob” to all who loved him. Robert attended Booker T. Washington High School. He met and fell in love at first sight with Carolyn Worley in 1964 and she became his wife on July 9, 1968. This union was blessed with two children.
Robert was a Supervisor at Texfi Industries for twenty years. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. His favorite hobby was playing basketball and he also loved Gospel singing. His passing will leave a vast void.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Reverend Carolyn Brown of the home; two children, Reverend Robert Earl Brown, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana and Felicia Renee Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jacob Burton, Joshua R. Brown and Joseph L. Brown; four sisters, Alberta Brown of Nashville, North Carolina, Mary McNair (Frank) of Baltimore, Maryland, Martha Peoples (Curtis) of Baltimore, Maryland and Idessa Hill (William) of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Bob”; many other relatives and friends.
