Monique Armanda Bryant, was born July 21, 1967 in Kings County, Brooklyn, New York at Jewish Hospital. She is the daughter of Mattie Mildred Bryant and the late Franchot Clark Bryant. God called her home at 11:27am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Maria Parham Hospital in Louisburg, North Carolina.
Monique was baptized at an early age and was a member of Haywood Baptist Church. After graduating high school, she attended Baruch College, studying Business Administration. She was academically gifted, as well as a ballerina, dancer and hairstylist. Before moving to Louisburg, North Carolina in May of 1992, she worked for AT&T Credit Union. She later worked in healthcare, until her health began to fail.
Monique was preceded in death by her father, Franchot Clark Bryant, her maternal grandfather, Willie Holden and paternal grandmother, Mary Fontleroy, two aunts, Sarah Bell Holden and Margo McKinsley, two uncles, Willie Murphy Holden and Joseph Holden.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Duvall Logan of the home; her mother, Mattie Bryant of the home; her brother, Franchot Bryant, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; maternal grandmother, Bettie R. Holden of Louisburg, NC; four aunts, Lucy Holden and Betty Paronie both of Louisburg, NC, Edna Ashley (Howard) and Bertha Holden (Johnnie) both of Brooklyn, NY; four uncles, George Holden of Louisburg, NC, John Holden (Carolyn) of Franklinton, NC, Jaycee Holden (Yvonne) of Brooklyn, NY and Jeffrey Fontleroy of Manhattan, NY; best friend, Karrie of Brooklyn, NY; special cousins, Rhonda, Janese, Tracy, Jackie, Sharon, Cary (Boobie), Phil and Waverly; many other relatives and friends.
