Mitchell Richardson “Showboat”, son of Clyde and Virginia Logan Richardson was born in Mecklenburg, Virginia on May 7, 1967. He departed this life on August 1, 2018.
He was educated in the Mecklenburg County Public School System of Virginia.
Mitchell was a hardworking man who worked alone. He would fix and work on anything. He could make anything out of nothing. Mitchell spent most of his time outside enjoying life and he loved going fishing. He loved being around family and friends, making you smile and laugh by telling his jokes. He had a heart full of love. He is gone, but never forgotten. I know he is saying, “Just look by the pond and I’ll be there.” He will always live in our hearts and will be missed dearly. Rest in peace “Showboat”.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Logan Richardson, two brothers, Jerome Logan and Clyde Richardson, Jr..
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Shacana Lee (Kevin) of Tarboro, NC, Tamara Richardson of Calvert County, MD and Desirae Richardson of Middlesex, NC; two sons, Bryant Richardson of Nashville, NC and Donta Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC; eleven grandchildren; his father, Clyde Richardson of Nashville, NC; three sisters, Elaine Richardson and Kimberly Holland (Steve) both of Spring Hope, NC and Denise Battle (Andre) of Castalia, NC; four brothers, Kelly Richardson (Minnie) of Nashville, NC, Timmy Richardson (Jackie) of Spring Hope, NC, Tommy Richardson (Marycole) of Calvert County, MD and Donnie Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
