Lucy Mae Lynch Perry, daughter of the late Earlie and Lecy Lynch, was born on September 4, 1946 in Nash County, North Carolina. On Sunday, May 12, 2019, she answered the Master’s call and departed this life peacefully at her residence in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mae received her education in the Halifax and Franklin County school systems.
Lucy was united in marriage to the late Woodrow Perry, II in August 1965 and to this union two boys were born. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Woodrow Perry, III (Lisa) of the home and Dexter Perry (Shannon) of Norfolk, Virginia; five grandchildren, Dexter Maurice Perry, Jr., Danaiya Denise Perry, Woodrow Wilson Perry, IV, Kelly Perry and Christopher Alexander Perry; three great grandchildren, Christopher Alexander Perry, Jr., Kamryn Nicole Perry and Li’San Ahmari-Woodrow Perry; three sisters, a very special dedicated sister, Mageline Perry of Norfolk, Virginia, Barbara Richardson and Shirley Caudle (Jackie) both of Enfield, North Carolina; three brothers, Timothy Lynch (Brenda), Ray Charles Lynch (Ella) and Charles Lynch all of Enfield, North Carolina; beloved close friend, “The Mock Sister” of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Shelia Perry of Easley, South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Carlos Perry (Barbara) of Whitakers, North Carolina and Richard Perry of Easley, South Carolina; many other relatives and friends.
