Lenora Crudup “Spookie” Jones Richardson was born to Grady and Floyd Lee Clifton Crudup on March 12, 1944 in Bunn, North Carolina. She departed this life on December 11, 2018 in Louisburg, North Carolina.
Lenora was educated in the Franklin County School System. She married Johnny Jewel Jones.
She joined the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained until she married Deacon Walter Richardson when they began going from place to place singing God’s praise. She then went to Shocco Chapel Church where she in her words, “loved her little pastor”.
Lenora was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Lenora was very active with her church. She was a member of the Missionary Circle, Deaconess, Bible Study and sang in the choir, visiting and singing at various nursing centers.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Shirley and Paulette and one brother, Larry.
Those who wait to join her in heaven are: her husband, Walter Richardson; one daughter, Jennifer Perry; one son, Clayton Jones (Shirley); four grandchildren, Britney, Clayshon, Travis and Kendra; six great grandchildren; one brother, Grady, Jr.; two stepsons, Leon Jones and Johnny Jones, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Withspoon; two special cousins, Laura Conyers and Jean Crudup; a special friend, Evelyn Clemons Deck; many other relatives and friends.
