Inez Richardson Scarboro, daughter of the late Andrew and Effie Cooper Richardson, was born July 27, 1927 in Nash County, North Carolina. She departed this life on November 22, 2018 at South Village Nursing Home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Inez was educated in the Nash County Public School System.
She gave her life to Christ and joined the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville, North Carolina. Her final membership church was the East End Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where she served faithfully from 2006 until recently when failing health prevented her attendance.
Inez married the love of her life, Ben Tee Scarboro on November 18, 1956. From that day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health they remained together for sixty-two years. They were blessed with one son, Bobby Scarboro, who preceded her in death.
Inez will be dearly missed by her husband, family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Ben T. Scarboro of the home; one granddaughter, Tamara Brown of Houston, TX; three great grandchildren, Trevin, Jr., Tarahay and Atreyu; four great great grandchildren; three sisters, Alma Macklin (Marvin) of Rocky Mount, NC, Essie Mae Jones of Nashville, NC and Arline Hart of Virginia; one brother, James Earl Richardson of Easonburg, NC; one stepdaughter, Regina Mann of Oakland, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
