Dezire Kashawana Hardy also known as “Dede” was the second born to Juanita Jones and Kelvin Knight on March 7, 1995. She departed this life at UNC hospital on May 8, 2018.
She received her education from the Nash County Public School System. “Dede” accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Helping Hand Church.
“Dede” was a devoted mother and friend to a lot of people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a special friend, DeLeon Macklin of the home; three daughters, Lanita Hardy, La’kiyah Macklin and La'kisa Macklin all of the home; her mother, Juanita Jones (Dainon) of Raleigh, North Carolina; four sisters, Destyni Hardy of Nashville, North Carolina, Tanesha Hardy of Raleigh, North Carolina, Alexis Knight and Ajayla McClain all from Rocky Mount, North Carolina; four brothers, Markevious Knight, Dominique Cooper, Katravious McClain and Jakel Knight all of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; her grandparents, Henry and Mattie Jones of Nashville, North Carolina and Charles and Mary Richardson of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; a host of other relatives and friends.
