Clova “Jean” Terry McKnight, daughter of the late Nathaniel Terry and Ruth Henry was born on April 17, 1954, in Los Angeles, California. She departed this earthly life on September 13, 2018 at home.
Jean attended the University of Southern California and obtained a degree in sociology. She married James McKnight in July 1976 and relocated to North Carolina in July 1995. She was a devoted wife and mother, and she loved taking care of her family. She also enjoyed life to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Coleman, and two brothers, Zack Henry and Ronald Terry.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, James McKnight of the home; her children, Anthony Jefferson (Bonnie) of Henderson, NC and Ruthie McKnight-Cook (RaShawn) of Louisburg, NC; stepdaughters, Elaine Mellon of Henderson, NC and Lessie McKnight-Edwards (Robert) of Franklinton, NC; one sister, Audrey Farr of Gardena, CA; two brothers, Martin Terry of Riverside, CA and Darryl Terry of Los Angeles, CA; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
