Cleveland Lewis Perry, son of the late Hiran and Minnie F. Perry, was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. He departed this life on December 28, 2018 at his home in Louisburg. North Carolina.
Cleveland attended Riverside School. He was a hard-worker and worked all of his life. He retired from Rea Construction Company after working there for thirty-five years.
Cleveland accepted Christ at an early age and joined Timberlake Grove Baptist Church. He had a warm heart and would loan anyone a helping hand. He was a very quiet, soft spoken man. Cleveland enjoyed sitting outdoors in his car watching people, places and things. He loved his family very much.
Cleveland was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Mae Tice and Robin Perry, one brother, Joseph Chavis and one infant son.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Bobby Ann and Willie Mae Perry both of Louisburg, North Carolina and Shirley Jean Arrington of Youngsville, North Carolina; two sons, Joe Junior and Patrick Lewis Perry both of Louisburg, North Carolina; two stepsons, Spencer Lamont Perry and David Dunston; four grandchildren, Yolanda, Lakeem, Clevon and Lakito Perry; two great grandchildren, Orionna and Aniyah Williams; three nephews and three nieces; a host of cousins, many other relatives and friends.
