Richardson Funeral Home in continuing a tradition of excellence in our community is proud to be one of the states oldest family owned and operated funeral homes.  For nearly a century, which we will celebrate in 2018, Richardson Funeral Home has provided professional funeral services to the Nash County and Franklin County areas with locations in Nashville, North Carolina and Louisburg, North Carolina.  We proudly serve our clients with dignity, care and respect in all surrounding areas including but not limited to Vance, Wake, Warren, Halifax and all states across the nation through full traditional and non-traditional funeral services, cremations, direct burials, ship-in/ship-out services and other related funeral services and arrangements.

Our founding father, Plummer A. Richardson, established Richardson Funeral Home in 1918. His sons, Daniel P. Richardson and later Plummer B. Richardson managed the funeral home’s operation for many years. The late P.A. Richardson, along with his wife, Geraldine, owned and operated Richardson Funeral Home for over forty-five years. Geraldine still manages and oversees the daily operations along side the fourth generation children, Herbert Richardson and Stacy Richardson with their families.  We strive to continue the legacy of excellence in funeral service through diligence, compassion and commitment. Richardson Funeral Home and the Richardson family along with our competent staff is truly “Dedicated To Those We Serve”.

"In light of our recent tragedy, the burning of our Nashville funeral home, we regretfully announce we will temporarily be unable to transact business at our Nashville location.  We are working towards setting up a temporary location in Nashville while the arduous task of reestablishing a new permanent facility is undertaken.  We want to assure our customers that we will continue to provide our professional services to you from our Louisburg location during this transition.  We apologize for any inconvenience to our patrons and would like to reassure the community that the Richardson Funeral Home and family will continue to be there for you during this time.  We also would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love and support, words of encouragement and most of all the prayers you have given to us as we go through this difficult season."
